I want to make a clear statement that I would like to see European credit-cards for us in Europe/EU. Just for achieving a European owned credit-card arrangement, as opposed to the VISA card and the Mastercard, all we need to do, in addition to charging a (little fee) is to incur some float (up to 2 days or so) on the transactions. So by this, WE should have one or more of these, bank backe, i.e., supported by big/bigger bank(s) so that this becomes no nut-sh*t!
We are 501 Million people in our good place and we shouldn't we dominate OUR place?! Profits shouldn't be a problem with such a large primary customer base and we can use social code to make it happen, i.e., make it the social norm to reconquer Europe for Europeans...!
Set this up now, please!
(In addition to all the social data that THEY are sociopathic on, by VISA and Mastercard, perhaps we can prevent something going over to them or keep it ourselves?!)
I really, really want this to happen! We can and should get it done! Let's do it (and all other stuff that makes us human, i.e., all IT and all the rest one can make in this World, as we are now doing with the Galileo GPS)!

The money in float by European credit-card is of course to be invested and capitalised on as the money in float gets constant on a suitable level! Therefore this can be a substantial part of the revenue for _our_ European credit-cards!! (It is, however, unknown to me how the float relates to transfer fees in being a part of the total profit, year by year, that is, how much in percentage can you expect (normally) of the float vs. transfer fees!)

So in light on the war on terror, there's uncertainty of how much information that passes to other regions, but I believe, of the above information from Innovation Europe, that this is mostly due to bribes and corruption. Consequently there'e nothing much that differ from other parts of life to the payment systems (by these cards)!
Even then, it's fairly conceivable that regionally governed systems, by own names and so on, can be negotiated to other regions as long as the code system is unified and allow for a big number of users. Thus, my card can be [CountryCode]+3214534452342545645233345 and include letters at that just like the convention with nation-wise car plate systems!
(Please, wait a little!)
I've posted to Innovation Europe, on Facebook, lately with the above and I've been given the following reply:
ReplyDelete"Leonardo F. Olsnes-Lea Credit cards are not our business as we are involved in technological innovation rather than financial products. However I did a little research and found that Visa Europe, which you might think is a US-owned credit card company, is actually the European payments system. It is totally European but doesn't issue cards; these are issued by its members, European banks etc. You can find out more here: http://www.visaeurope.com/en/about_us/who_we_are.aspx. I hope this helps!"
I've made two notes to them after this and they are:
"It also says: "We are the exclusive European licensee of the Visa brand, products and technology.
We partner with Visa Inc. to enable global Visa payments but exist and operate as an entirely separate organisation. We are incorporated in the UK." I am of course happy with your comment (right above), despite the fact that I'm a bit of the current facts regarding payment arrangements. However, when I checked a few years ago, there existed only Mastercard and the VISA card and they were back then wholly owned U. S. American companies!" and then,
"I don't know how the influences are taken care of and to what extent VISA (USA) can push VISA in Europe or other places in the World in terms of bribes/corruption/extraction of data to criminal uses but under "VISA Inc. and VISA Europe" it says additionally "Visa Inc. and Visa Europe are mutually invested in each other’s success. The two organizations are united by a common global brand and work together to ensure Visa’s brand integrity, interoperability reliability and security of Visa products and systems. Visa Europe is also a minority stockholder in Visa Inc., and Visa Inc. will receive royalty payments from Visa Europe. To ensure the two companies remain interoperable, Visa Inc. and Visa Europe provide services to each other that maintain and support the overall Visa enterprise." So what are their patents? And are these so fundamental that they "own" the financial transactions by their patents? I find this not very credible and that if VISA is this detriment, there should be ways to encode mere electronic transaction signals by better regionally trusted arrangement, thus I ask for alternative "credit-cards" (incl. debit cards). If this concern is taken care, I withdraw on this issue totally and encourage Africa, Asia and Oceania (and possibly South America) to get their own VISA organisations. I'm good. Consider this a check, then, please! Cheers!"
Yesterday at 14:59 CEST(?) on Facebook, posting on my own profile, that is, the time-stamp is from my _own_ profile!

This is my suggestion to a possible future alternative! The U. S. Americans DON'T own all the payment systems and they don't own the coded transaction signals either!
Should I add: Payment card _in_! (green arrow pointing!)? And when you travel somewhere, make sure you /can/ use your payment card there, please! YOU! YOURSELF! With or without help from your bank!
