The Ecology Points - By Applied Ethics, Most Importantly and Further...

Combatting the Overpopulation

Suggestion for combatting Overpopulation, a dire condition that brings out the worst in people and against animals and wildlife the same:
The governments of the World issue a (steady) recommendation for only one or two children (for each woman, or other standard, issues may arise with homosexuals who desire children, but this needs separate resolve).
Under the recommendation then, this follows, a 3 pt. list,
1. that families will be required by law to pay partly or wholly for the 3rd child as incentive toward right behaviour.
2. that becoming pregnant with a fourth child or giving birth to a fourth child may provoke forced abortion or forced adoption.
3. that becoming pregnant with a fifth child and beyond may trigger forced abortions, forced adoptions, forced sterilizations and removal of legal rights in representing stupor below normal intelligence.

I hope you bother to take note and that we work together, in moving the politics toward better ecology and a better future for all, with as much people in the future gene-tree as possible! Thanks.

(Me? A hard-liner Ecology Philosopher? This files under Applied Ethics and only as suggestion for discussion. Also, point is made for making the discussion /move/ somewhere whatsoever.)

I've written a notice lately to WWF suggesting the Ecological Victory option to the Civ 5 (Sid Meier) games, such that 2 kids now make one's gene-tree 4 the next turn for your 2 kids. In this way, ultimately, one's genes become the World "some gene-steps" up the World history. This is also possible with only one kid, but takes a generation extra...! So contraception pills MUST be seen as World solution to all pollution problems, in overcoming Overpopulation toward 3.4 Bn people, figuratively speaking, "half the population of every nation now"!

Re-Issuing, the CO2 Problem

In relation to CO2 measurements, it's worth noting that CO2 level HAS NEVER BEEN HIGHER than today's at a little lower than 400 ppm. Over 800 000 years, it has never gone higher than than mere 300 ppm until lately. So not only do we suffer from high World population that distresses nature greatly, but we also guzzle ourselves down on own mass of people and gurp about in something like 385 ppm of CO2. I must say, this is a VERY interesting experiment and that I hold WWF, IPCC and Greenpeace the most responsible, even though, as much as Pugwash "boldly" says no to nuclear weapons, common people are now betrayed by their governments and intellectuals alike! (Heh-heh, unless they DO something... but /can/ they squeeze out the necessary words and the display the necessary leadership? Yet to see...!
(Still the words of Mr. Al Gore are ringing in the ears as GREAT! See the movie, please, An Inconvenient Truth!)

(I'll use this blog posting to highlight a very important ethics/applied ethics matter, one that seems to move slowly in terms of (acting/effectuating/legislative) politics...)

Also remarks to brilliant writers, activists, Greenpeace (who should pick up on /seriousness/), World Wildlife Fund, IPCC, the former Environmentalist movement, people who support Deep Ecology and other people who move the these matters into scope and place.

PS: Overpopulation is now centered on the most because I see it as /the/ most important ecological issue today.

  2. A note under the Objective Ethics here on Blogspot:
Ecology: I hope [PlanetDiary, fx.] can see the importance of Overpopulation and how to deal with it. Thus: I'm also thinking about composing a "standard" letter that WWF (or Greenpeace or IPCC) can use to promote family planning of 1 or 2 kids so that they can help move the political climate into place in order to combat overpopulation and deprivation of habitat from the animals, in effect reducing the overall carbon footprint and create more wilderness for animals to "enjoy"/thrive in! Care to join, please? (For their slow pace, I must say they should already have had a foot in the ass...) PS: Please also put an enduring note on "An Inconvenient Problem" by Al Gore as a matter of Global _Warming_ (i.e., freak nature and more deserts). on [PlanetDiary's, fx.] timeline.

  3. The other matters have largely been decided:
    Recycling
    Ecology-friendly products
Energy efficiency enough, along with "phasing in" better standards to new products and buildings.
World matters are issued by UN.
Pollution, by the best standards, are now acceptable everywhere, yet to be applied everywhere, also by the good political work, the incentives "here and there".
    + the rest!

  4. The care for the planet is also mentioned in the Bible as words from Moses or other who utters that we are obliged to deliver "the earth in the same shape or a better shape to the generations after me/us. Yet citation is lacking for now.

  5. If not Moses, then this expert collection of sentences from the Bible (Enjoy!):

    A. Command to Care for Creation

"The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." (Genesis 2:15)

"You must keep my decrees and my laws.... And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you." (Leviticus 18:26, 28)

"The land itself must observe a sabbath to the Lord. For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and garner their crops. But in the seventh year the land is to have a sabbath of rest, a sabbath to the Lord.... The land is to have a year of rest." (Leviticus 25:2-5; cf. Exodus 23:10-11)

"The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; with me you are but aliens and tenants. Throughout the land that you hold, you shall provide for the redemption of the land." (Leviticus 25:23-24)

"If you follow my statutes and keep my commandments and observe them faithfully, I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit." (Leviticus 26:3-4)

"You shall not pollute the land in which you live.... You shall not defile the land in which you live, in which I also dwell; for I the LORD dwell among the Israelites." (Numbers 35:33-34)

"If you besiege a town for a long time, making war against it in order to take it, you must not destroy its trees by wielding an ax against them. Although you may take food from them, you must not cut them down. Are trees in the field human beings that they should come under siege from you?" (Deuteronomy 20:19)

  6. Then the action:
    The Letters to the Departments

Mind you, the letters to the Departments everywhere in the World, encouraging them to commit to family-policies/law that it should now become acceptable to only have "one kid or two kids" or face economic penalties along with other restraining measurements for violating this. This child-limiting law should make the Overpopulation go away in some time, let's say we first measure the next 30 years to come, country by country, or other. I have now identified some Amnesty Int. letters that may serve you well in writing to these departments. It's also the intention that the law will be presented by joint department statement to highlight its importance.

    The relevant departments are:
    1. Health Department
    2. Any Family Department
    3. Department for Environmental Protection
    4. Any Department for Regional and Local Planning (but not as primary department)
Note: The (joint) statement is, of course, only valid for the country where it's made. The international agreements aren't included here because they take longer time to agree upon. However, because China has made the genius move to declare a "one-child policy" and even citing an official number for it too, any country has fine opportunities to decide to do this fairly quickly.

Urls for the standard letters (which Amnesty International are most famous for):

  7. More to Ecology:

I may have been a bit unfair with WWF, a co-player organisation so I'll be explicit.
I support all national parks even though this is /the/ old message from WWF. I also support the biggest and best national parks with additional screening of corrupt researchers (to prevent the torture/maiming of wildlife animals) that can be easily done today.

The "unfair" statement written to WWF on YouTube: [coming...]

Additionally for Norway as an example:
That to move from 17 national parks (back) to 2 big national parks is my recommendation. To do this requires some deeply important NOTES. (I am NOT "Johnny Two-Letters"!)
These notes may contain hunting rules, rules for vehicles, rules for human behaviour, rules for tenting, rules for cabins and other small structures and rules for all other human activities.

Combatting Overpopulation still: 2005 CE number (6,4 Bn people, appx.), 2205 CE: 3,2 Bn people, appx. In case the target is missed, one sets a new "end-trajectory" to "land" in fx. 2305 CE.

  8. Not able to locate it, it goes like this: here we have WWF speaking about national parks (again) with US American voices while there is the Military Complex out in the World ensuring MANY corrupt minds, subverting their human rights, all this while WWF still refuses to mention "combatting Overpopulation by only 1 kid or 2 kids". Good?

  9. The "unfair" statement written to WWF on YouTube:
"Heh-heh, speaking out from USA, never bothering with? decisive political action by combatting Overpopulation (1 kid or 2 kids) and here is the US Military Complex keeping it all chained and CORRUPT, defeating constructive action MUCH of the time! When are you to learn from your own DATA-SET, WWF???!!!"
under "Stop Wildlife Crime: The Series - Its Dead Serious", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVYYRjdFsGU .

Way back there, historically, is it not so that they (WWF) have promised us a decline in World population, no?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Not like that, I DO SUPPORT national parks.

However, the responsibility is usually waivered by referring to a place distant from us and not inside our own nation. Also, that we avoid moving forward with the combatting of Overpopulation by "one kid or two kids" makes this NO better.

  11. After 2 days and deciding to use the hypo-word "framework" and rumping about in Warzaw, the millions-people capital of Poland,
The idiocy of all parties by the COP19 top climate meeting:

FAILURE TO ADDRESS OVERPOPULATION! FAILURE TO AGREE ON POLITICAL SOLUTION FOR THIS BY "1 KID OR 2 KIDS" FOR ALL (in the developed world, first and foremost, dealing with population by population after this in how to provide confidence and calmness for a better state/nation according to the others before them in time at this point)!

    The whining:
"The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has a critical role to play in ramping up global action. Parties need to come to COP 19 in Warsaw prepared to work from day one. With little more than two years left before the deadline for a new climate agreement and for global emissions to have peaked in terms of the science, we cannot afford 2013 to be another lost year for climate action.
In Warsaw WWF expects parties to:
Agree to concrete steps to close the pre-2020 emissions gap.
Set up an independent expert process on equity tasked with proposing an equity reference framework.
Devote high-level political energy to mobilizing climate finance, and ensure that a clear trajectory is agreed at COP 19 for scaling up public finance towards US$ 100 billion per annum by 2020.
Agree on a roadmap for the 2015 agreement.
Warsaw must mark a turning point for the climate negotiations. It must bring the “contemplation phase” to a decisive and productive end. It must produce concrete outcomes on how to close the pre-2020 mitigation gap, a road map for scaling up finance to 2020, and a plan for reaching a new legal agreement in 2015. Anything short of this will set us up for failure."

"Environment and development groups together with young people, trade unions and social movements walked out of the UN climate talks on Thursday in protest at what they say is the slow speed and lack of ambition of the negotiations in Warsaw.
Wearing T-shirts reading "Volverermos" (We will return), around 800 people from organisations including Greenpeace, WWF, Oxfam, 350.org, Friends of the Earth, the Confederation and ActionAid, handed back their registration badges to the UN and left Poland's national stadium, where the talks are being held.
"Movements representing people from every corner of the Earth have decided that the best use of our time is to voluntarily withdraw from the Warsaw climate talks. This will be the first time ever that there has been a mass withdrawal from a COP," said a WWF spokesman.
"Warsaw, which should have been an important step in the just transition to a sustainable future, is on track to deliver virtually nothing. We feel that governments have given up on the process," he said."

  14. THE PSYCHIATRIST AT BEST AND LARGEST is the very execution of this combatting of Overpopulation, I've found, that family policy restrains the number of children as above!

People are continuously urged to take action in creating these family policies worldwide so that the World can become a more sane and better place for all of us, me being one voice for this right here!
